INFRASTRUCTURE
Warships have a large variety of complex , technology-intensive engineering, weapon & electronic systems in its small confines which impose much greater challenges in , dismantling and shifting the equipment to shop floor, repairing and testing, fitting it back and re-testing onboard. The cost of rework is very high hence the repair and testing quality standards are very stringent with inspection at every stage. The yard has a large industrial infrastructure under one roof for fabrication, repair and maintenance of hull, mechanical, electrical, electronic and weapon equipment repair .
Yard also has the capability to carry out routine and maintenance of all its inhouse assets within dockyard and Naval Civilian Colonies.
